cant get an ftp server going

i got my modchip flashed and i have a boot disk that works, but when ever i try to do an ftp transfer it cant find my xbox. i just bought a linksys router, and i have no idea what ip my xbox is, on the evox dash it says 192.168.100.10, but when ever i do an ftp to that it cant connect. can ne one help me?

first off, what FTP program are you using?
secondly in your LAN settings do you have TCP/IP ticked off?

i was using flashfxp i also have bulletproof ftp, i have been following this tutorial http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php? ... 8&t=105495 for some time to get my mod chip working. and my lan settings are get an ip automaticly and a dns automaticly

You might want to look up the DHCP table inside your router. That should show every IP on the router that the DHCP has assigned. Also, inside Evox under setttings, there should be an IP showing up towards the top of the screen. Use that IP, then go on PC and hit <Start> <Run> type command <Enter> then type ping <IP on Evox Screen> <Enter>

when i look at the dhpc settings of the router it doesnt show the xbox at all, and when i try to ftp the ip that the evox display shows it cant connect

can some one please give me some help? ive had a modded xbox for 2 weeks now and cant mod it, and im pretty close to giving up.

But have u tried pinging the xbox ?

yeah, pinging the ip the exov screen gives me doesnot work, and i dont know how to get the ip that the router gives the xbox(if that even matters)

turn static ip off and be sure to save then reboot xbox

ok, how do i save the settings i change? ive been burning new boot disks every time i need to change something.
