Hey guys. I need some qwik pointers on Halo modding.

Where is the file I need to edit to change the name of my xbox?
What should I edit it with...?

What do I need to edit the name of my ingame Halo person?
What should I edit it with...?

NOTE: The rest of this is to impress my friends with my xbox. I hate cheaters and would never use any of these hacks on XBC. I like losing too much .

What do I need to edit to make invisible people show up bright?
What should I edit that with?

What do I need to edit to make the walls semi-clear?
What should I edit that with?




I will not use these on XBC or any other online service.. Promise.
I just want to impress my friends with my new Modchip.

Use HHD hex editor

Again, HHD hex editor - get familiar with it - youll use it for a lot of halo modding, especially for the latest stuff (pmi, hce content -> xbx, etc)
Or you could just change the name of your guy in halo, couldnt you ?

Change the shader for active camo using HMT/HHT and adobe, or another paint prog...Reinject it and voila. Note: it will only work on your xbox and any other xbox with the mod

Not sure about the last one.
And no one is going to believe you if you say "i wont use this on xbc" , just so you know.
And also, if your looking for an OpenGL hack like they have on PC games, it doesnt exist for halo xbox. Only maps that are identical will work on multiple xboxs.

I've got some info from other places and you say just try switching things and I am way to stupid to know or have any clue what you are talking about so.... I think I'm gonna just leave it alone for now. Plus I don't want people thinking that I am a cheater....

i dont mean to discourage you from modding at all either.
If you spend some time reading the posts at xbox-scene.com and here at halomods.com, you'll understand what i said in no time. haha when i first got my mod chip impressing my friends was first on my list.
