Compress a cache without SE?

Is it possible? I've already tried with HME+Resizer but my map still doesn't work 
Then under tools you find compress map, it may look like the program is stuck, but it's just compressing so don't quiet the program if it seems to get stuck while compressing,
You can also change the internal name, so that you don't have to change it with an hexeditor
