hard drive question

I will be getting a modchip soon, but until then can i take out my xbox hard drive and put it in my pc to edit the cache files?

You could...but that would be a lot of work to do just for editing caches. You can't just put in the xbox hdd and expect it to work. First of all, the Hdd is locked with a password. Second, the xbox filesystem is different than that of your regular PC. Which means that windows can't read the drive. So, you will have to get a program like hdd_driver or something.

no, u can not put your xbox hdd in ur pc to edit cache files!

The coding system they use is TOTALLY different

There are apps u can get to make it compatable from xbox to pc, after completely wiping it clean, but for wat u want...no, not possible

There are programs you can use to read the xbox hdd without wiping it clean. Hdd_driver will even read it (sometimes :P) without wiping it. Then there is fat-x-plorer which is more stable than hdd_driver and can read the hdd.
