Do cache files stay?

Post by maggatslayer »

See my comp and my t.v. are in different rooms...so i load halo levels up on the t.v. unplug my box and hook it to my comp. but then i cannot see any cache files in the x,y, or z folders. Do my cache files get deleted if i unplug my box?

Do you load them up with the Halo CD or do you have Halo (the whole game) save on your xbox's harddrive?

I am pretty sure that you have to have the whole game on your xbox's harddrive... but I could be wrong.

to get cache files in ur X,Y and Z drives, you must start halo, and play the level you want. Then FTP to ur xbox and the cache with the most recent modified date is the one you just played.

the cache files are on my box because i don't get that loading screen at the very start of the game. but when i FTP to my box i cannot see the caches anywhere on the whole hard drive and usually they are on the X but supposedly nothing is on it right now

try hitting refresh when you open up your ftp program after you enter the X partition of the harddrive.
