Re: Arsenic
That is jaw dropping amazing. I really hope that this gets released. Amazing, please keep modding halo 1 for xbox. H1 Xbox modding has by far been my favorite hobby and this just excites me so much to see a program like this. I can't wait to see all of its features, but as for right now, amazing work CLuis & HIZLO.
Re: Arsenic
So is what games, exactly, does this program edit?
You need the HEK to use the program, but is it restricted to xbox maps or can you edit pc and ce maps too?

Halo CE Map Editing
Re: Arsenic
You just have to build a tag foundation with xbox maps first. After that you can extract CE maps in the program and then save them for use on your xbox. Compiling for CE and PC will be implemented in the future.
Re: Arsenic
I have set all four directories, but when I attempt to load a scenario from the tag explorer it says that I need the sound tags.
You should include an ok to all option for errors, so that you do not have an endless barrage of them, by the way.

Re: Arsenic
Am I the only one having problems loading maps? I have all my tags, maps, everything set up properly. When I open Arsenic, I see all my tags. When I click for example a10 and double click a scenario, it loads all the tags, runs through a lot of them at the bottom, but the gives me an error message. Doesn't specify any error, just says click continue or exit.

Re: Arsenic
First off, are you using the latest version of Arsenic, which is 10.0.0.12 right now?nintendo9713 wrote:Am I the only one having problems loading maps? Secondly, have you tried loading other maps, such as bloodgulch or another multiplayer map? When I load a10 Arsenic uses up over a GB of ram, so it's possible your pc can't cope with it.

Re: Arsenic
Just replying, i got everything working and it seems amazing. So can i just open a scenario, drag vehicles and other items, edit tags, do everything in it, then juts export it as a map and name it whatever I want and change the internal name? I'm not 100% sure on how to use this stuff yet. & Please don't reply Go look at tutorials, I juts want to know the answer to this simple question. Thanks.

Re: Arsenic
The tag editor in Arsenic is still a WIP, so you're probably going to want to use a different tool for editing meta and the like.nintendo9713 wrote:So can i just open a scenario, drag vehicles and other items, edit tags, do everything in it, then juts export it as a map and name it whatever I want and change the internal name?
Arsenic's BSP viewer will let you drag around the spawn points for everything, and you can edit their various properties/flags like in Sapien.
When you export the scenario as an Xbox map you can choose the internal name for it so you can choose which map you want it to replace, although you can't exactly name the file whatever you want of course.
Arsenic will also let you inject things from one map to another. Or rather, from your tag collection. Once you have a scenario loaded up, switch to the "All Tags" view, and then click and drag the tag you want to inject into the BSP viewer and Arsenic will (recursively) inject it for you.
Most of this stuff is shown off in the Arsenic beta video, which you can find on the halomaps.com frontpage. Direct link: http://vimeo.com/3299367.
Also, the Arsenic forums on halomaps have more information, http://www.halomaps.com/forum/index.php/board,68.0.html.
