Spark edit trouble

So i have spark edit 3. somthing. I have a cache file that i want compressed. I open it and everything comes up correctly, but when i click save as compressed i doesnt do anything. It says please wait... but doesnt take up any cpu usage. I cant just save changes either. It will say "changes saved" but when i pen it the next time it is unchanged.
