My new map set keeps freezing, am I doing something wrong?

I've installed Hizlo's map set. Took a few tries, got banned in the process- but its all on there now.
I can open the program just fine, menu comes up, I can select the map from the carousel, but I can't start a game!
As soon as I select the game type, it freezes. Never loads the game.
Now, I can usually get Camtrack to work ok, but I think thats because its totally new (maybe?), and not based off an existing map.
I have Halo installed too, but I have not played it yet, so I doubt I have a cache issue with that (plus they're in different folders anyway.

I've since installed some other map set that patches the Maps in the Halo Directory and makes them new, But they all appear the same (same images, descriptions) as the original 'new map set' maps- And I doubt the two unrelated people released maps that are identical.

So now I have two Halo executables (in the 'play games loaded on hdd' in evox)- the full original, and the "Map Set" one. Both of them display the same maps available and both crash as soon as I pick the game type.

Sorry this is long for my first post, but I'm kind of tired that nothing works for me like it does with everyone else.
