softmod help....someone please help me

what is a good softmod....and if i softmod can i ftp into my xbox.....and to ftp i have cuteftp do i just hook the ethernet cord into my pc and other end into xbox.......some please help me

here's a good tutorial. About what ftp program to use, I like coreftp the best (and it's free!) but any one will do. Also you need a crossover cable if your just going from PC-->xbox, you can use a patch cable if your doing it like this PC--->Hub--->Xbox. I think the xbox system link cable is a crossover cable.

you mean your going from pc to router to xbox? i would HIGHLY suggest making your xbox's ip address out of your routers range then. like my xbox's ip address is 192.168.0.250 because my router only goes up to 192.168.0.32 i think.

what do you mean.......and to ftp i have to conect my xbox to the modem and my modem to the computer right....and how do u find out your xboxs ip address
