2 questions for the mixed up modder

Alright, i have two questions that i dont understand yet.
1) Whenever i play a modded map and want it to be saved, it seems that sometimes it goes back to its original map after i restart and not have the modded map, what are some reasons for this?
2) How can i get my origianl maps back onto my xbox hard drive? Are they stored... The reason of this is bec i made a mod and xbox froze, so now i want the origianl map to ftp back into...

ok im new at this but i think u should alredy have the original stored on ur pc so just do every thing u did to get the modded map there i think.but get a second oppinion

yeah, i already thought that would be a possibility but i dont think that it is... SOooo is there another way to get the original map back into my hdd

orginal, what do you mean? there are two places halo maps are stored

in the halo dvd (or your harddrive)
these maps are compressed and are decompressed to the

x,y,and z drives, these are where the cache's are stored (moddable format)

where did you place your mod? what mod were yo u doing?

i just wanted to place some of my original maps, such as hang EM high back into Halo. The only problem is that its modded and the only way to fix this, from what i know is to restore the original map(unmodded) back into the hdd... Or is there another way that i dont know? Also, i was wondering if anyone/site had the origianl maps for download so that i can ftp them back when i want? This would ofcourse fix my problem...
