noob questions

I got into the idea of modding my xbox about 2 days ago
I don't know if it will work because I'm doing it in a new way
but first I wanted to know more about modding goes on
How do you donwload stuff?
How do you get the mods to work?
Where are the mods made in your Xbox or in the PC?
What do the folders do?
Is alot of skill need to get mods running (not talking about making them)?
If you host a match and put a modded map can anyone play?
If you download a mod such as the flying warthog will it affect all maps?
Any answers will do and if you think I need a little more info add it on it will be apreciated

u make the mods on ur pc
u need ppf o matic to apply ppf's (mods)
u need to be able to ftp to ur xbox
and read around dude...
