Milkshape Help!

i'm a good modder but i don't undersatnd milshake at all. I really want to edit the sniper, so can someone help me. How do you load the weapon then once you load it how do you change it? Do you just insert the shapes on the right side of the screen. Also how do you change the color of a weapon. Any help would be appreciated.
