HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Ok, so my name stands for wat it means and i don't know much about moding halo specifically.
I was playing halo on pc the other day and i played it on xbox and i realized that the specular was disabled on my pc version and i was wondering how and if i can get it to work because i want to play a game that looks as good as its system counter-part.
I know there has to be some way to enabled it because i saw it in the config.txt
It might have somethin to do with my video card (Radeon 7500), but i no that it can be overidden. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLZ?????

how bout you try video settings under options (in halo). It also might help if you add the argument -use20 after halo.exe in your shourtcut (or if u were running from command line 4 no aparent reason)

i tried that already i even used "-use11" since mine is a Radeon 7500. The video options don't work; the specular option is disabled and i was going through some o the config files and i saw somethings about how certain video cards were set. I need to figgur out how to enabled it.
If anyone can help me plz post here.

I think it has to do woth your videocard. I have a Radeon 9200SE and it has specular AND shadows enabled. I think you need a newer card.

it might now support direct x 9.0


mine doesnt...im angry at my video card

ya, its all your vid card, i had a GeForce 4 MX 440 and i couldnt turn on specular, shadows, or decals, then I got a GeForce FX 5200 and now i can turn all of the stuff on.

whenever i see a screenie with spectrals and shadows, i get angry at my video card and yell at it....




What i hate most is that i have a 128 mb card, and from what i know, thats pretty good. But in halo, the graphics suck!!!

just because it has 128 mb doesnt mean its good...
