HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Right now I'm currently running the ASCII character set for character values, I've really gotten into C++(Consle not .NET) in the past few weeks and I'm reading about integer types, and it explains how the char integer type uses what ever your default character set you have, I don't intent to implement a new character set any time soon, but I'm just wondering is it possible to replace your current one, or swap the out when you want to use a different character set when you want to?
