AI tutorial for Idiots

WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE WRITE A TUTROIAL FOR AN IDIOT(me).
PLEASE, I would put it up on my site and I would worship the groud you walk on.
I've read all of the AI tutorials and none of them work for me. Write a tutorial as though you were writing to a person who knows nothing about Modding!
PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU!
It would make me and a million other people VERY VERY HAPPY!
Even if you know nothing about modding but have a working AI, please tell me how you got it to work!!!!

i can switch them with a rock or plant instead of ghost right? or how would i get them to spawn , filling all the vehicles? a=many more questions fuck it ill search liek ya said

Every time I try this, I fet an Exception Data Error!!!!
I am VERY MAD!!!
I do everything EXACTLY as everyone says, but no AI....

Creat a floder called "bloogulch ai"
Open HMT3 (or HMT3.5)
Open bloodgulch
Batch extract blood gulch to the "bloodgulch ai" folder
Close bloodgulch
Open b40 (in hmt)
scroll down to "[actv]actor varient"
roll down actv
select "charaters\elite\elite commander\elitecommander plasma rifle
check recursive
click save meta
choose the "bloodgulch ai" folder to save to
copy bloodgulch.map to the "bloodgulch ai" folder
open hmt3 (or 3.5) if you closed it
go to rebuild map
select bloodgulch in the "bloodgulch ai" folder
hit yes for the auto fill popup
under new files add elite commander plasma rilfe
(he is in bloodgulch ai\characters\elite\elite commander\elitecommander plasma rifle")
click rebuild
rename your new map from "bloodgulch.map.rebuild.map" to "bloodgulch.map"
backup your original bloodgulch and keep it in a safe place
overwrite your original with the new map
open HHT
open bloodgulch
go to the "bipd" tag
look for "charaters\elite\elite special"
swap the mod2 "mod2 - charaters\elite\elite_special" for "mod2 - characters\cyborg\cyborg"
swap the antr "antr - charaters\elite\elite" for "antr - characters\cyborg\cyborg"
go to the "vehi" tag
look for "vehicles\ghost\ghost_mp"
the third line form the bottom should say "actv - Nulled Out"
swap that with "actv - characters\elite\elite commander\elite commander plasma rilfe"
play blood gulch and enjoy :D

A bit more you can do
open hmt3 (or 3.5)
go to the "phys" tag
go to vehicle\ghost\ghost
select 0 on the wheel rolldown
set hover strength to 3
set hover height to 3
select 1 on the wheel rolldown
set hover strength to 0
set hover height to 0
now the ghost flips on game start.

Same here, ive followed like 3-4 tutorials, and i've gotten an exception every time... quite annoying, really...

BUT I JUST FOLLOWED TIAMAT'S TUT AND IT WORKED! WOW THX MAN, YOU RULE! :D

no this tutoriol wont work for PMI (perfect model injection) thats more complex and requires more steps. i suggest trying to work thru a PMI tutorial because injecting any object without PMI has very annoying results. However, if you cant even get this to work, you might want to do some simple stuff first.

hey i was reading tits tut

if i want to change my cyborgmp model [model only not biped!] to a marine how would i do that? swap the mod2's yes, but i tried in HMT and got an exception[ model swap plugin, copy model number and paste it to another model number] do i need HHT to successfully swap mod2's?


i want to have marines instead of MC but function like MC[ get in all vehicles and throw grenades and fire all weapons]

Sorry, I haven't been online for a while, but when I get on line, I saw what you wrote, tried it, AND IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!

I have one question though, how do you get them to move like Elites? They look like idiots, how do you fix them, so they duck, roll, and don't look like stand around and hover like idiots.
If you have an answer to that, please tell.

-_-.......you can do it in any level you want and with and with any covenant actor ....you might be able to use marines and what not but i dont know....
