Hello,

Does anyone here know how to modify the scoreboard values?

How about setting spawn points to different locations based on where players are on the map? (ie. set a spawn point next to a teammate or far away from an opponent)

And what would you need these for? When someone talks about editing the score it usually means they want to cheat.

hes doing it for a mod. i read about this in one of his other posts.

by scoreboard he could mean kills are worth 5 ninstead of 1 like in halo 2.
I am trying to get halo 1 like halo 2 with mods myself...but nothing this bug... just game type mods and hud stuff like that.

Well in that case, you would just find the command that writes to the scoreboard...trace back a ways and you should come across "inc eax" or something of the sort. Hook from there and make it add 5 for each kill instead. The cheap way would be to just add 4 more "inc eax" commands...or you could do something like "add eax, 5" instead. What its doing is taking eax and adding 5 to it.

I appreciate your concern about cheating, I should have stated what I was trying to do from the begining.

Basically my goal would be to be able to add AND subtract points from either the "kill" scoreboard or the "CTF" scoreboard to keep track of the number of currently living and dead members of a particular team. The next step is to somehow figure out how the game handles "Victory Conditions" to make it so the game ends when all characters on a particular team are dead at the same time.

The changing spawn points are to help prevent one team from "spawn camping" the other to achieve a cheap victory.

I realize I have a TON of work ahead of me to make this a reality, but I think people will be pleased with the result.

Yes and Yes...Both have been done, I had a video some where about hacknig score board and player spawn points was also made by TheKeihatsu
