SDK?

Hey all, I am a bit confused. I hear people in these forums talking about making mods and the such and programming. Is there an SDK out for Halo already? To my knowledge gearbox hadn't released anything like that yet. Can somebody point me n the right direction? I can't wait to take a crack at that code! So many ideas, so little time.

I understand your confusion. There are two types of Halo modding. One is xbox, the other is HaloPC. This site supports both communities, but the xbox one has been around for longer.

The official HaloPC SDK is not out yet. As soon as it does come out, we will be hosting tutorials to guide you through the map-making process.

highly doubtful, xbox games period, were never meant to be modded.

i think gearbox screwd up when they made hpc, they had almost 2 years to make the game and it looks like they mostly just ported it over to pc. i dont really mind that, but i think the biggest dissapointment is the netcode. the game redefines lag. but anyways, im trying to say, i think gearbox should try and make up for it by releasing the sdk soon.

ur crazy, i play halo a lot and i have yet to find a successful server where i dont have to lead my target by about 5 feet, or one where the banshees dont warp across the map making them impossible to hit. its not like the lag we all know and love where everyones game pauses for a few seconds, this lag is spread like butter over the whole game. play call of duty, you can enter servers with more than 16 people and not die before you are shot, and when you headshot someone they die instantly.

I have to agree with seagoat on this. I constantly have to shoot ahead, and when I shoot people with a tank, the blast doesn't hit them, even though I see a direct hit.

yo if u need a good server try the hazteam server good server hardly ever ny lag and almost always got people in it............ i dont remember what its name is but ip is 24.219.190.70:2302 and TS sever is 66.135.185.55:8767 and no im not trying to advertise
