HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Hi, this is my first post so dont flame me straight off.

Its come to me attention (through never ending searching), that its nearly imossible to code a coop mod for halo. But it says that a split screen coop only on 1 comp is easly possible, just that gearbox didnt want 1 because it was a PC port.
But there are plenty of good PC games with split screen. e.g Serious Sam 1 & 2.

So my main question "What will it take to create this split screen mod?"

( I dont care how hard it is because if i can be done, im probably gona have to do it my self... lol)

Well, you could always do a sp to mp map convertion. Then pmi everyhing from the sp back in. Then play online.

ya but only the people with the mod could join... and then you wouldnt have all the loading points and its only be a small section of a level =\

seems like ull have to do a bunch of like, programming, i think. cause it isnt possible i dont think with the current halo script type thingy. if reprogramming halo is even possible. i really dont no wt im talking about though, it figures

perhaps we should make a new halo, although, we would need someone to decompile the original, get all the needed information from it, (cd keys, how to open maps, sound, bitmaps...)
