That's wonderful that you feel entitle to flaming. But its againt the forum rules here and if you continue to do so, you might just end up being banned. So I suggest you just say nothing if you don't have anything constructive to say.New Age wrote:i flame n00bs that act like n00bs

Actually my friend, coding cheats/hacks for Internet games that actually work is a very difficult process. Therefore just completing a working one should make you feel cool. I know from experience, having written a VAC-Proof OpenGL multi-hack for Counter-Strike 1.6/Steam. From a developers standpoint its one of the most challenging and rewarding things to work on. You end up learning ALOT that you can apply to other areas of programming. AND you get to show off your hack and impress friends.M.A.C. wrote:I havent read all these posts, so i am just replying to the first one. we mod to enhance the game, not make it unfair for others. if cheating on a little fictional game makes you feel cool you are indeed a failure in life.
There are types of client hacks that don't give you any sort of advantage over other players (IE: Winamp Control, Nibbles to play while you're dead, stats recording/reporting).
I do agree however that client hacks that give a user an unfair advantage should not be used in Internet servers. For those of you that have been playing Counter-Strike since the early betas (<=5.2), you know that it has been steadily going down hill ever since 1.0 (and the xplosion of cheats thereafter). Creating cheats for educational purposes is one thing, but using them to pretend your a skilled player is just pitiful. I feel that if you do write a client hack, you should never release the binary to the public. You could release the source (hopefully a little messed up so newbs can't compile it without knowledge of the language you used).
they make the game unfair and not fun for others,we pay money to to have fun playing these game, people shouldnt be inconsiderate enough to use them,my friend used wall hacks for cs and it really pissed me off cause he killed me through walls boxes etc, although i stopped playing with him, there are people everywhere than use them you simply cant avoid them enless you play in a private server with people you KNOW.you cant avoid the world, that just shows how many inconsiderate people there are, most poeple would hack at any game if they could, but thank god there arnt any for halo(anymore, from prev posts.except wall hacks)i really hate those "hackers",they never look at from someone elses point of veiw, how hard it might be for the newb or other guy.
although,if you develope one your self,gj,i know how hard it is too program,i can hardly understand it at all myself.
