HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I am having some troubles with this part in 3DS Max. I can edit it just fine and all of that. My problem is that when I try to go back into Editable Mesh Mode, a warning pops up saying something (I forget what it says exactly) but there are 3 options, Hold/Yes, Yes, and No. When I choose hold/yes, it keeps the Unwrapped UVW map and then when im in Edit Mesh Mode, and clcik a face, it goes back to the normal UVW. I know it never used to do this when I was following kirks tutorials.

Why is this happening and how can I fix this?

you have to scroll down to edit mesh and do like a new layer of it, thats the best way to explain i guess. so it should be like this for example
edit mesh
uvw map
edit mesh
box
