Animated elevator

I know that there already is one by gmp_gmp and maybe someone else but those or just like looped animated scenery. I was wondering if theres a way to be able to trigger the elevator to rise when MC is on it or not. And are there any tuts for animating scenery??? thanks.

working on it it's called a device_machine and i almost got it down but one other thing animated scenary evevators can cause problems for net games (the netcode doesn't keep track of them)

Thats why those cove light shields on the floors of levels like gephrophobia can sometimes cause problems. That also why doors aren't in levels.
Hopefully halo 2 will make it postible to have net triggers

well someone doesnt watch e3. or read updates. there well be those covie grav lifts, maybe human elevaters. but who knows what the big surprices are :]

oooh, yeah i guess the net game triggers would be a problem...hmm...didn't think of that, thanks tiamat and i hope you get something cool outta what you're doing. guess i'll just stick with the 5 second pausing elevator thing. but i'd still like to learn how to animate scenery like that on my own. anyone know where theres a good tutorial???
