If i have a .bsp file of my finished map, can i convert it to a .map file or does it have to be exported as a .map file?

I don't follow you.
Where'd you come up with a .bsp file? Isn't that Q2\Half-life\CS maps?

I'm trying a different program out (hammer) and wanted to know if this was possible.
But i just got the program working and i've found an Export to .MAP feature on it, that means it should work with halo too, right? (its MEANT for hl, does that mean its hl only maps?)
Sorry but i'm a noob at this stuff

Did i even post it in the right forum? lol..

no you cant use hammer, because in hammer you build maps out of blocks. this doesnt satisfy halo's sealed world rules

Yeah the .map is just a coincidence. Those .map files are only good for HL its mods and Q2 (and any derivatives)

oo ok ty guys..
So i should just stick with 3ds? And it'll work normally if i export it as a .MAP in 3ds?

nooooo there's a lot more to it than just exporing a .map from 3ds. you use blitzkreig to export the .jms, then you......meh, just read the HEK tut

Or you could just give up all together. Then we all get less pointless questions.
