Weird texturing problem : black lines

Post by King Of Snake »

I have a real weird texturing problem.
See image below:

Image

Details:

I first made the map in Cinema 4D and exported it as an studio 3D file.
Then I imported the file in 3DS MAX and textured it.

For the texture I used a TIFF made in Photoshop with an alpha channel to split the grass detail and the rock detail in the Guerilla tag.

I applied a texture to the ground and the rocks in 3DS MAX with un UVW map as planar.

When I run radiosity under Sapien I then get those ugly black lines through my texture.

Can anybody help me with this problem.....

in 3dsmax you could try to increase the uvw, or try another method like box

good luck, like your map, is it going to be expanded?

it looks like a radiosity problem u have there, cause they look like shadows (unless they show up in 3ds max)

If it's from max6 you maybe moved a vertex past the other one then you supposed to move the vertex you past instead.
Or it's radiofarm.
