ya the pics r just a little blurry but it looks good
the black makes it look kinda plain and u cant see the details well so when the texture comes out im sure it will look really good

Gmax is just a stripped down version of 3dsmax. It had all the features in that tutorial just some options and things were in different places. Like the uvwunwrap feature. I just found it. i will post a pic of the gun with the reference model skin on it. I didnt take time to skin the stock that i added(the one in back) or the scope so their just black. I will post a pic of it without being rendered. Then i will go use xzzy's stuff to try to make a render in gmax.

Actually Im gonna go skin it better

Found out I suck at skinning. I use the gimp(because its free!) and i'm not very good at making the metal because im not sure how to blend the colors. If i just extract one color from the barrel and paint it looks like crap. So i have decided to just leave it how it is(and keep it forever because its my first model). I'm gonna go do some new models(because i thought modelling was fun)!! Check out my new models when they come out!

great model in my opinion i wuld straighten the part where the scope joins the gun and work w/ the butt of the stock to add more demension to the back of the rifle....but still very good

Thanks Guys! I will do some of the things you suggested in my next model! Anyaways I made a crappy render using the yafray exporter for gmax! Thanks Xzzy! It was my first succesful render and i was getting so fed up i didnt make another one. This one shows more of the detail just it looks kindof weird

Image

I told ya... kind of weird. Comments are welcome but i wont be updating this model anymore. I liked doing the model i just wasn't that into the gun. Maybe I'd be better at vehicles. Anyways im working on a hummer h2. I dont know why. Will probably never do nothing with it but look at it and go ooooh aaaaaaawwwwww i made that
