modeling where to find models

where can i find models of master cheif and the other aliens to download and manipulate. also where can i find weapon models to download and manipulate? im learning how to use gmax and i cant wait to start modeling. im a newbie i know, but can someone tell me how to put models into my actual halo game, all i know is how to take levels off the xbox and manipulate them, than put them back on with edited weapons and stuffl... any help would be greatly appreciated.
