a quick question concerning 3ds max/polygons

ok, a really quick question. is there some kinda plugin/utility for 3ds max that allows it to import gmax files(.gmax)?

oh yeah,and i have another question. how do you find out how many polygons/triangles are in your map?
this is my signature? i thought itd be more, im a cow killing a halo-type guy

shoot, i forgot where, but i know you can definately do it. if you worried about going over the limit, don't worry, its pretty hard to do.
