Map Collission Glitch?!
Map Collission Glitch?!
Hey everybody. I'm busy making my first map for Halo CE right now. Just last night I got the first alpha working and playable. I started messin around, and low and behold, there are several areas throughout the level that grenades and gunshots pass right through, and ghosts won't float on.....but you can still walk on those same exact areas w/o falling through yourself. O_o Has anyone else has this problem or know specifically how to fix it? I want to try to get this glitch sorted out before I continue detailing and texture mapping my level. Thanx in advance for your help.
dude...the "walls" are infinitely thin...they're made of planes, no matter what level you choose. It's not the thinkness......the collision model must have gotten screwed up somehow...I'm just wondering if anyone knows what exactly causes this to happen and how to fix it w/o rebuilding the map from the ground up.
I have had this same problem and it has nothing to do with the thickness of the walls. The walls have no thickness and there is no way to change that. There's something wrong with the collision model and I was able to fix most of these problems by recreating all the offending faces. I just deleted the bad faces and used the face create tool to replace them. Then I remade the UVW Map which may be entirely off-subject but I am telling you this just in case. Good luck.
