how do i get skins 4 vehicles...i know how to mod now but i havent figured out ot get skins on my vehicles

also i need to know hwere i can find Iron Forge's List of offsets

download hmt 3 or hmt 3.5
for those go to files.halomods.com and click utilities

Download the skin you want.
Open it up with winrar
extract to somewhere you will remember
open up a map in hmt
click bitmaps
scroll down to the thing you ant to skin (ex. vehicles/warthog/warthog)
click inject texture
click on the skin file that you want to put on it
DONE!!

as for iron forges offset list.. hmt can swap thing very easily
lets say you want to make a pictol shoot rockets
you scroll to weapons in hmt on lets say blood gulch
go to weapons/pistol/pistol
click meta swap
swap the tag with rockets in the drop down menu
DONE!

note: I havent actually swapped projectiles, thats just what i remember on how to do it from reading a tutorial.

Iron Forges ofsets are both stickied somewhere and in the FAQ's sect. of the main page. Ive u still cant find them, i have them and i can email them to u.

For HMT, u dont need an offset list, click on a vehic or gun or anything and there shud b a meta number twords the top of the prog. Just copy that # and paste it where u want it to b.(Like copy the plasma nade proj. meta and paste it in the shotgun pellet meta space). Or just click the little swap button, find wat u want and then save

*Edit* the main page Faq link is broken. There is a sticky(i thk in PC mod. gen) that is an FAQ thing. There are two working links to iron forges offset lists.

MB this has been covered bfore (which it proberly has) but i really couldnt find any infomation that answered my question. every thing seems to make sense, and all the tutorials i have read tell me what to do and i get it but theres on problem.

when I go to open a .map using HMT i get the message 'not a valid Halo map file'. ive checked everywhere but i cant seem to find wat the prob is

only know the basics here and modding 4 halo has been been quite hard to grasp compared to some of the other games ive worked with.

hmmm not a valid halo map file?? I remember seeing this before.. I forgot how to fix it..make sure none of the halo files are in use maybe..?

i dont think so. I have been able to open one, seemed to be fine but when i selected a bitmap there was an error and it closed. But i can't open them now. i dont have a clue what i changed tho, if any thing.
