Make it ! and use a chicago shader.

but i thought that if it was a ! it would have no collision, would it affect my map if i applied it directly to part of my wall? or should i make some new faces?

Wait, I was wondering this too. When you name it, you add a ! to the end, kinda like you add %^ to a ladder?

You can alter the shader to give off light but it is probably better to make new faces.

Or you can make it easy on yourself and just create a light surface in 3DS MAX before you export.....that way you don't have to mess with the shaders and stuff like that at all.

you can use existing faces as long as you don't give it the ! at the end of the shader.. thats only collision anyways so its not necessary for faces making up models/buildings/ or w/e. the shader must be a light emitting shader made in guerilla. I just use the example_tutorial_lights shader and just change the bitmap references and the name. Simple.

u need to extract it from a map that has it and rebuild the map with the ladder in it... then bring it into sparkedit and place it where u want

whats all this about a ladder?
anyways i was just asking if there is an easier way besides making 4 vetices in the exact right places then connecting them (vetices take a long time to make)
