DDS Plug in for Illustrator

Ive seen two (that I know of) Warthog skins that were simple yet nice, what they did was trace all the lines that made up the vehicle with a nice color to give a cool look. I assume they did this in Photoshop which would make it painstaking to get nice smooth crisp lines. Well, if you place the famous .dds plugin that you use for Photoshop in your Illustrator plugins folder, you can open .dds files in there and trace and make nice smooth shapes easily. If you do do this, and place a .dds image, you will get a white box (dont know why) so you have to go to "Window>Transparency" and uncheck the box which says "Invert Mask" and it'll show right up.
