HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I've only put like 3 hours into this model so far.. was hoping for some comments/crits.














the texture is just a planer map of the reference image I used so that's why it's not good.

I looks a bit low-poly, and ALOT of detail is missing.

start over with better references. not worth reworking this model. also, be sure to add in details, and don't use the reference for the skin, it looks like total ass.

Yea it's only at 1158 tris so I could still throw in detail using mesh but for most of the stuff I plan on just using textures...

@Snaf The texture is a severe placeholder I was planning on making one later when the model was complete.

Do you have any suggestions on where to find some good reference pictures for weapons?

Also, what in particular makes it not worth reworking the model?

Also, your render angles are very poor, it's hard to really see much of what's going on. Some better quility renders would be nice. Here's a link to an easy rendering tutorial I made that makes nice clean renders.

google images is a good place to start. it often leads to gun forums where they have galleries like "post your carry gun" etc. another good place is www.world.guns.ru/main-e.htm which lists quite a few weapons from many nations.

also, give some wireframe renders. in particular, it just looks like a very poor mesh

I couldn't find any images of the back of the weapon so I'm not exactly sure what the back looks like...

llama, the trigger gaurd was a decent attempt, but the rest is severly off.
