how do i move vertices in 3ds max? ive tried for an hr but cant.....

Boy... if you actually bought 3DS Max, payed the thousands of dollars for it, and don't even know how to move vertices...

you have to add the edit mesh modifier. then click on the vertices button, not the edges or faces or polygons. then you click on the move button and drag your anchor to where you want the verts to go. if you bought it it should come with tutorials so read em.
