


There was a pretty epic-looking smoothing yuckiness on the stock when I applied the same smooth group as the chamfered bits to the side (instead of that hard-edged shit), but it vanished in the renders. I know the viewport in Gmax would occasionally be a complete shithead and light something badly so it would look like an error, but I dunno about this... Reaper reckons clay renders hide a lot of that stuff, but if it is screwy I can always fix it later.
Still only about 2,100 tris (actually a shade over), so at this rate it might actually be able to go into Halo without killing people on PCs even more ancient than mine.
Next will be the muzzle area, then the sights and action.
