one was rendered on black(1st) the other on white(2nd). I want some opinions on all of it and i need suggestions for the material and if the part that holds the big needle looks good(i think that is bad). Oh and yes i did kinda get the idea from Star Wars(the one where they have Leia in the prison cell)

Nice, very detailed. The antenna bothers me, though.

I don't like the use of greeble. It just seems added. And the antena thing is kind ehh, a pulled vert.

thats what i was goin for but i havnt seen the movie in awhile .. and it was in the pics fourm but it got moved. I need some help in materials for this, so if anyone knows a good tutorial for materials like texturing and stuff it would be greatly appreciated and some suggestions for the part with the neddle, please.

that antena is much too big... otherwise, it really looks like you tryed to save polyes by adding some "details" to the sphere

Back on topic, I think it looks nice. The spear-ish thing at the front is a little bit long to me, but that's just personal taste. I have no idea what these look like "for real".

I just don't like because of the simplicity and huge-polly wastage. Its just a greeble with 2 spheres and some pointy pulled vert. It's also very messy and some odd black spots.

I just a vision of one of those orbs gunning down some grunts using it's frontal-mounted machine gun (replaces the spear/needle/pokey tool).

diablo has an imagination... and it wasnt done i was here asking for suggestions on what could be done and such. I cant finish it anyways because i had to reformat my harddrive due to problems and all i backed up was my documents and this was saved in the 3ds max 7 folder
