Im working on a map called Mansion, which is from gunz...the screenies are on my site and yest im too lazy to post them here...

You got the backwards xD. I said, "Raise the Polly-count, and make it more detailed". Unless that is what you meant.

i made a little test map to see if my bitmaps worked and they did. Ill just post it here if ya guys wanna see it or something like that.

He needs to raise the poly-count. Its to low right now. GunZ is a lower poly game, but Halo isn't. So why not take the advantage of more pollies and make the map more detailed?

You could. But I don't think Church is very high poly, and it is the best example of any map I have seen.
He could make custom bump maps.
In the map I'm making, the poly count is 3000. I still want to lower it. If you have a lower poly count, you can to much more with lighting and bump maps.

Yes, you are very true, but I mean instead of 4 side pillars (I know there 4 sided in the game) He should make them more round. Unless Kwazy, your trying to make it as exact to the game as possible, then keep on the same track, and maybe make some new Bitmaps for your map with Bump maps etc.

well im trying to make it an ALMOST exact replica of the mansion, yes...but the thing is, i dont understand anything about bump maps
