changing skins

changing skins

im not shure if this should be in the HMT forum or this one but i picked this one becouse it deals mostly with skinning. ok here we go. i want to make these wood blocks i downloaded metal so in HMT3 i find a metal skin save it as a .dds file (thats the only thing it alows me to save as)
then when i try to ingect the skin it says that it cant becouse it needs to be
DXT1 and i have nooooooooooo idea what that means. how can i change it to that type ,or just how can i get it to look metal.

This is easy, open the skin up in Photoshop and save it as a .dds, then it'll ask what type to save it as and just make it DXT1
