How do I make a water effect with gmax? I'm getting VERY VERY frusterated because I can't find out how. I've been on goolg efor almost an hour looking.

Water is done in Sapien, though I don't know how it is done.

You make a plane and apply a water shader and material ID. It should say in the HEK tutorial... in fact it does, just for 3DS, although I'm pretty sure it's the same process.

I don't have HEK, I don't mod CE, how can I get a copy of this tutorial?

Are you trying to get water in Halo CE, or just water in gmax?

Water in gmax. I can get renders from GMax, and I making a cool scene with water.

In that case, no idea.

just get a water material, search google

a good place for water is at pixel2life.com they got alot of tuts for over 30 dif things, and they got over 300 tuts for 3ds max. And i saw some water ones. oh btw good luch on ur scene.

me & my friend are accualy making some maps, one is an island, so I meed to know how to put water in too, its gonna be surrounded by water & have a lake in the middle too! its gonna be cool. so how do u put water in (not just a plane of stuff with water texture)

This is not for Halo...it's for a scene he's doing. Don't bump the topic asking for help when the topic has nothing to do with what you need.
