Help adding in my .gmax

Ok, I decided to make my assault rifle shoot out orange bullets. I made my model in gmax (which I barely know how to use, by the way) and I was wondering: How do I take my .gmax, and get it to be shot out of the assault rifle? (I know I might probably have to convert it, but I don't know what into)

...lol first u have to compile it. use chimp, export a .jms then compile with tool etc

Using Chimp, I tried to export it as a .jms, but it says that ""frame" object was not found". All I made for my object was a cylinder connected to a semicircle (kinda like a bullet), converted them to editable meshes, attatched and welded them together. Is there anything else I need?

If you want an actual bullet, then fair enough, but if it's just an orange contrail you want, you can change that in the AR's contrail tag in Guerilla... Much easier, quicker, and you wouldn't see the bullet anyway unless you slow it down a LOT.

Yes I want an actual bullet, and I will slow it down. I need help solving my problem of the missing frame.
""frame" object was not found"
Any ideas?

Thanks. The next problem I had was that there was no geometry linked to the frame. So I just made a plane, and linked it. This is what I got: "Chimp Error: Unable to find any used materials. Ensure your objects have materials properly assigned to them." What does this mean?

Link the frame to the bullet.

Well that post was utterly pointless.

As for the bullet... you need to apply a material. Go to the material editor (red sphere thingy on toolbar) and create new, colour it orange or whatever, then apply it to the bullet.

Ok, I have the bullet, and the plane linked to the frame, and I have applied the material I made to both plane and bullet. Next, I went to export it, and when I saved it I got this message: "-- Runtime error: Feature not available: "createFile" ". What does this mean? Is there something wrong with my Chimp. (as a side note, I tried exporting it as a .jms)

Rossmum could you be quiet about my posts? If you link the frame to the bullet it wolnt export corectly. However, if you link the bullet to the frame then your ready to go!

Ok.... I unlinked the bullet and frame, then linked the bullet to the frame, and I still get that runtime error. Any ideas?

Ok, I was able to fix my error. I was exporting wrong. Now I have my bullet.jms. Where do I go from here (to get it to shoot out of the assault rifle)?

wouldnt this be a lot easier if you just skinned the projectile so that it is orange?

I don't think the assault rifle has a projectile. That's why I'm trying to make one. Plus it's good to learn it anyways.

well, it doesnt literally have a projectile, but it has a contrail bitmap, which can easily be reskinned to look orange :D

That's not actually what I'm looking for. I was asking about how to do this in my other post (http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=39307) but no one actually answered my question(s).

ppl did answer your question
gh0570fchurch wrote:a cheeto-shooting assault rifle... interesting... you could swap it with the rocket, then remodel and reskin the rocket to look like a cheeto...
if you want it to be slower, you can just change the .proj speed.

I'll try that. I thought they were originally talking about my first question.

Where can I find the model for the rocket launcher projectile?
