[WIP][UHMM] All-UHMM Test Map

Post by FleetAdmiralBacon »

Yes, you did read the title correctly, I'm finally working on the first all-UHMM map!

So far the UHMM does the following:
Exports JMS files from objects in a scene (with their in-scene coordinates)
Exports JMS of terrain + sky (works almost perfectly, just some ground texture problems)

So, I made a map with a large mountain in the middle (a REALLY big one)
I'll get some pics from my re-import in 3ds max.

Everything except for the skybox was made in the UHMM using the TerrainBuilder. The skybox was exported as an E3D (read ye old UHMM topics for more info) and then stuck into the UHMM.
It was then implemented into the exporter.

Wait... does this mean... you can make terrain with that thing, and don't need 3DS?

Well, finish it, actually.

Right now I'm adding a simple e3d to JMSconvertor for people with Gmax because the E3d converter is at least 50x faster than Chimp and exporting an JMS from the UHMM takes almost a split second (almost as in it isn't quite that long XD )
Done!

On another note, anyone have the code to open tags? (for VB6)
Specifically scenerio tags so I can make a simple populator?
