halo 2 ghost discussion

ok, i'm modifying the halo 1 ghost to be bumped (which is possible) and to have the halo 2 boost and sfx,
(yes all the tags are set up)
my problem is those darned boost vents...
i want them to have soft, lightblue lights, and i was wondering if i needed to place markers where i wanted the lights to appear or if i can use a shader to illuminate it with a lense flare...
(mods/admins, if i put this in the wrong forum, please relocate)

Use markers.Self Illumintion stuff isn't that good but try around.

if u have time to kill. animate the tilt for when the ghost strafes and the guns so that they fire one after the other... i was gunna do it but... ugh im not that great with 3ds max. so ima stick to Maya 7

vehicle strafing is done in the vehicle turning animation, i could do some tilting, it wouldnt be that hard(getting off subject)
how coul i make the mask for the light that i need for the ghost to illuminate at the plasma vents?

The tilting would be a stand acc-left-right.JMO animation, but the alternating gun firing cannot be done effectively using just animation.

ok i figured it out, here it is:

i used a light set to the c out function.
(bungie has credit for skins and models)

the lighting is a little strange because i used halo 2 reflection maps
(i like them)

this ghost might be the one that i will probably use on my "the first strike" mod...
(explains between halo and halo 2)
