Substitute for 3dsmax?

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

Substitute for 3dsmax?

Can another more... cost effective program be used? I really don't feel like speniding thousands of dollars on a new hobby.

My bad....

Post by goye2cz »

Wait, my bad I found it.

For others with the same question I had, this is what I found:

Gmax apparently is free but has *less* features than 3dsmax. Free vs $3k... You balance the scales. The link is here:

http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax

You will need the exporter plugin to create teh JMS file as Blitzkrieg won't work with Gmax. Get it here:

Thx P0lar.

Your welcome buddy. And by the way here's a great place for you to find out about G-Max and Halo:CE.
