Wonder no more! These are my final plans for the ship!
Wondering what the title is?
Well, here it is: (sorry, haven't installed the 3ds max 8 demo yet, and my 6 disc is, well, dead)

Just as a note, that's all rough versions I made in the past half hour, most of which was spent on the ship. The map itself is a simple quick 2 minutes.
So what's the deal here?
Simple. UNSC ship Sagittarius) is in geo-sync orbit above a covenant outpost.
Vehicles
Human:
+ Draco (duh)
+ Lifepod
+ 10x Rail Gun Emplacement (2, one on each side of the ship)
Covenant:
+ Boarding craft (anyone have a ripped model from h2?)
+ Seraph fighter
+ AA turret (undecided type) "Ground Defense Turrets"
How it works
There will be four lifepods. First wave should be lifepods to the ground by the 'human' team. Ground combat and such takes place. Draco comes and picks them up (There will be 2 Dracos, one in each of those oddly sized hangers). You return to the ship. The entire time, the Rail Guns will be holding back the Covenant seraph(s) + boarding craft(s).
Teams are layed out as:
Human
2 -> Rail Guns (1 per)
2 -> Draco (pilots)
4 -> Lifepods (ground combat)
Covenant
2 -> Seraphs
2 -> Ground Defense Turrets (covi)
4 -> Boarding craft
The whole boarding craft thing works like this:
1. Human player enters lifepod
2. Lifepod leaves Sagittarius
3. Boarding craft approaches Lifepod dock.
4. Boarding craft squeezes perfectly sized umbilical into dock.
5. Covenant players enter Sagittarius
Other than that, I want the games to go on forever if both teams are good enough. THe point is air combat with the rail guns and the Seraphs / Boarding craft and between the GDTs and Dracos / Lifepods.
The lifepods will reset and so will boarding craft so that they can be reused after the flag is captured or if the humans get to the point where they need to use covi ships and vice-versa.
So, at this point, that's all I have. Comments?
