Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

This is my first model im showing ppl but i think its pretty good. All i did was create the outer shape using a few splines, extruded, the added some other details. then i uvwd it and created different addons for it (the rocket launcher, machine gun addon, etc.) but they arent shown here cause i didnt skin them....oh and speaking of not skinning i didnt skin the clip yet. why? i dunno why dont ask me lol. took about 2 hours or so to make

and....heres 2 pics

oh and for all u HPC and HCE modders, check out my header converter. its in the files forums and in utilites. ill b releasing the source soon (C#)

please comment on the xm8 :P

oh and the poly count for what u see stands at 1296 and the only separate objects r the clip and the rifle....other a separated clip it follows seal world rules and any non lazy person that has 5 mins can fix that but i didnt cause for the purpose i had for it needed the clip separated (to fall out..duh! lol)

yea i wrote that in the description. i just splined the outside edges, converted it to editable mesh, extruded, fixed the missing side and added details with polygons and basic shapes which i fixed on to follow sealed world rules...only on a gun :D

Yeah, probably.

I'm reserving judgement until I see it without a skin though. Skins can hide all sorts of evils or hide nothing at all...

If you read the first thing he said you would see that this his first model, and as a first model goes it is better then most.

Yeah, but it could still do with detail. He's got the general shape right, but... needs to be less boxy. My first model had plenty of detail compared to a lot of people's first models, no mean feat for a gun I actually invented myself :P It's not too hard to add...

detail is very easy as long as you know the basic concept i was working on a g36c was almost done but my computer shut off and my model file got corrupted so i got the model from some one i sent it but had to do alot over any detail isnt hard

^^ yea right  hehe jk

yes its very poorly detailed i mean i got the holes in mine and a whole bunch of other crap and its under 1500 polys (probably could be lower) but hes new to it so i dont expect his model to be outstanding. you'll get there though
