I know how to import and export and stuff, but I dont know how to keep the texture of the object while i change the color. I have so many good ideas but I'm really bad at detail so I need lots of help!!!!

ok ur using photoshop right?
ok if u are use sumtin called magic wand
then click the area (normally the green place) that u want 2 edit
this keeps all the texture and everything

there is a way to keep all that detail and not have to go through the pain of the magic wand. This is a very brief to do. I am using this technique on my new MC skin.

duplicate the bottom layer, the bitmap, then work on the new layer.

select what you want colored

Desaturate it so it will be black and white.

go to IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS> HUE/SATURATION

click the colorize box

open the "master" and select a color

then you can adjust the sliders to get the color you want. you will keep the normal texture. think of it as dying the black and white layer.

there are more things you can do to further punch it up even more, but I need to start packing up my computer. that should help you, or any skinner.

LOL!!!! I know, I have been trying to post a pic i like up on my webiste but pagebuilder wont load. The second it works I will have a smaller avatar. And quag, that sounds REALLY complicated to me but I gues ill try it. I also just finished my first skin and I will post it in the files section. It's an Anaheim Angels Hog (my fav baseball team) and it is pretty bad but I guess its a start.

first of all....that is kind of shooting ur self down...second of all....RESIZE THE AVATAR!!!!
