I'm gonna add more details to it soon, this was originally for Halo 2: Source but the future of that project seems a little uncertain, so... *shrugs*

Mine's the smoother, higher poly one to the top in the first pic and right in the bottom, of course.

how did you own bungie? you produced THEIR battle rifle with MORE poly's >__> before you go shooting your mouth off about doing better than bungie, get some NOTICEABLE details in it, and do it LOW poly. otherwise, it's just a higher poly br model.

Only a small increase in polycount actually and besides that it's for Source so I have about 4 times the current polycount to play with before I have to worry, and if you look you'll see it's already more detailed with the chamfering, the detailed scope, strap sling, etc. But yeah, I'm going to add more detail, so don't worry. Probably the cocking lever slot and/or air vents next, then some more work probably on the handle and scope, and the sides of the receiver.
Most of the details I've done don't show so well in those pics, I'll try find some time to finish it tomorrow.

Easy the lower one is bungie cause you can't import smooth groups.

I did on some parts, and then went back and decided. "aw screw it" and redid them totally to get more detail and such on. This was/is for H2 Source though, so it needs to be as spot on as possible in terms of dimensions and basic shapes.
I've done better models for sure, I just like this one because it does what it's meant to - be cleaner and more detailed than the original and at the same time look identical in shape and size.

Think he meant splining along the same shape of the original. Which is technically all I
can do, I haven't got the time to learn to plane model (I was doing one assignment last night for 5 hours).

plane > spline
mind giving us a wire-over-model render?

I can't do renders, Gmax...
I'll get a wireframe though.
Yes, I know the cocking handle is a total poly whore, but it's for Source, so it's all good.
My sound card's either come loose or died...
[EDIT] Thank God! It was only loose! PC without sound =

heh...LOL. loks to me like you just edited bungie's to make it look less cool. btw, just cuz you smooth it & round off some edges doesn't mean it's yours.
you can't really proove it's yours when you have bungie's model, either...so really, they still pwn you. mainly because your's doesn't have a skin & we don't know if you really made it... Nuff said.
i kinda feel that you didn't make it any better anyways. you need to add the details & stuff, not just round it off...on top of that, learn to skin a bit so it will actually look good ingame mb?
well, overall--it's an OK idea, just need to actualy try next time.
