HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

My first real skin i've actually "tried" on. I've seen few ghost skins that I liked, so I thought, I would try to mix Technology with something completely alien.

Well theres the bandwidth constraint with geocities since since the page is free, but the images won't be lost.

I would like some feedback because this took me a while to do.

all you did was swap bitmaps... that sucks... and dont post stuff that you can do in HMT 3... all you did was take a texture from the game and swap it with the regular ghost bitmap...

please post your own stuff

To that post, I did not take another texture, I don't know how you would make up such a thing. I dont know how you would think that from those images....

Ill need to distribute the original DDS (for the people who don't think I took a texture from a game). I can't get it to PPF right now, so just replace the original ghost texture. The download is a ZIP archive because I cannot upload it with the dds extention. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I see, I was going back and forth seeing if it worked or not.. Then I would go back and change the tags, then try to change the url... I kinda got tired for waiting this 56k to load all that page flipping so i gave up 5 minutes afterward; thanks.

Anyway i'm going to try a banshee skin somewhat similar to this, and next time i'll get to a computer...if I have it finished ...and i'm satisfied... I'll release it.

There are many textures that I overlayed in Photoshop. There was a metal outlay first with lines and the dots ( you can see that detail near the front of the ghost ). Then I created my own images and did work to them. To make it appear good on the ghost I used the healing brush tool and put it on several settings, luminance variances, color, and screening. I then added extra color with an air brush tool with this other application and also added some more detail, the shading and all... Then Finally I created the the wing textures by flipping one of my wallpapers, and doing a little modification to it, next just erased the purple by using "desaturate",
darkened it up and slowly planted in my newly generated texture until it fit the right places, because I did want that vent effect near the inside of the wing. The process took nearly 5 hours because I generated these textures. That metal your saying looks like covenant walls is the copperdeck effect of my metal. I hope that changes your way of thinking, because that is how I produced the skin. If you still think about posting something worthless, don't bother, noone wants to listen to someone talk about such a nice product ( including me ). Just my insight..
