Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

When I inject a new crosshair y r my others messed up?

Post by Sh4rk B1t3 »

First of all, sorry for the crappy internet talk in my subject line... there's not enough room! Anyway...

Heres what I did.

I saved hud_reticles1.dds to a folder, and opened it with photoshop. I edited the texture, and saved it. Then I injected it over the original one with HMT. The pistol crosshair (the one I changed) looks perfect - exactly the way I wanted it to be. But, my warthog crosshair and banshee crosshair are all messed up, like this:

What did I do wrong, how can I fix this?

alright, i just spent 30 minutes doin what u did....the problem is that u have to save another file as well....there are 14 reticles to choose from, u hav to save reticle1 and reticle3...reticle1 is what you already did, but to get that to work right u have to not delete the background to become transparent...and for reticle3 all you do is open it, save it, then import it...reticle3 is the actual chaingun reticle....i did that and now it works fine with no picasso artwork

I'm sorry, this is a little off topic, but how do you change HUD colors (like the reticles)?

Use HMT to extract the reticles...theyre like bitmaps/ui/...hud reticles....and then use photoshop or whatever you have to change them....just to let you know though, if u change one the size changes, so you have to edit all 14 reticles for there to be no errors in the reticles of guns
