HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Ive been using Max for about a eyar now and never had this problem. This is a total n00b question too.

Usually when you select "move" a little tool will appear on your screen and its has 3 arrows, one for X,Y,Z and it just allows you to click on the arrow and move it, up, sideways, left/right with ease. Sine I reinstalled max after a reformat. This tool is gone and I have to click the object and to move I have to keep clicking on the little origins box at the bottom to move it on the axis. Can someone tell me how to get the gizmo back. This gizmos for rotate and scale are also gone.

I am not sure if I understand... but when I had a problem when I would click my move tool it would be darkened like the select tool. I can't remember what to do but I THINK you have to click on the tool and press x
