Strange Skin Problems

Well, I am really new to modding in general, and I made a skin for the Red flag. Only when applied this is what I get ingame:
Up close, the bottom half of the flag has an image I've never seen on it, while when you back away the bottom half takes the whole flag and you can see the random image. For some reason the flag still has the Red falg's original image, ewven though I injected my skin over it.
It's uh... kinda strange.

I just noticed this message I skipped earlier when injecting (I thought it was a reminder or asomething so I didn't read) and the message read:
Image must be DXT1.
What is DXT1 and how do I make my skin that?

When you save it.Anway you already got DXT1 otherwise you wouldn't get it ingame.Check the shader for the flag. Its cause flag have some special stuff like point-physics and i think they need something special.

Thanks, but what is a Shader? I know where to find them in PC, but I just don't know what they mean.
And which shader? There are about 6 different shaders, and the falg is in about 4 of them.
I clicked through the list, and you can't seem to do anything with the shaders! What exactly am I supposed to 'check'?
Also the image isn't showing up in the HMT image viewer. It's just all black!

well you need those 56 Plugins to view the shader properities.
