Hello all. I have decided that I want to start attempting the art of modeling. I have the trials of 3DSmax, and I have Gmax, plus HMT. I have had a lot of trouble using the plugins for Gmax, even though I followed the tut. I have also been using milkshape. I need to know which plugins are required for any of these programs to import Halo weapons, vehicles, etc. Also, I have had trouble getting the objects into a format that I could import. Could someone please help, I have tried search and none of the information helped all that much.

you can use 3ds max or gmax to make custom models and th HEK to get these into a map you make for Halo: Custom Edition. look around at the CE stuff, and i'm sure you'll like to model for that, rather than moving vertices around on existing models for PC.
gbx forums has a lot of information and just about every tutorial you need for making great maps for Custom Edition. there's a lot of knowledge there as well. if you're having problems with something CE wise, you can ask there, as i'm very sure they'll have the answer for you. you can find everything you need related to Custom Edition here:
